23Oct03 - Things are still moving along with MagnetHead.  We have more shows coming up and it is keeping me busy.  Be sure to check out the MagnetHead website for updates I posted  some new pics on the pics page.  They are some 2003 live shots while playing MagnetHead shows. 18Oct03 - Wow, things have been hectic.  I haven't had time to even work on Machines in the last month or any new Aittala material.  I have been busy working with MagnetHead; writing new songs, getting ready for upcoming show and doing the website.   We have a couple shows coming up on Oct 30th and Nov 15th.  Check out the MagnetHead website for details 12Sep03 - I have played my first show in 10 years last night.  MagnetHead play a show with a couple other bands at a local club.  I will be posting some new pics of me on stage soon, so check back for that. I have been putting some work in on 'Machines'.  I have finished recording the guitar solo and will work on it as I have time.  I really want to get it done to have it posted, but time is pretty scarce these days and I will work on it as I have extra time. 24Aug03 - If you didn't see the pop-up when you entered the site, then you didn't see the news.  I am in a band at last.  I have joined the band MagnetHead and things are working out well.  We hope to be playing out by late September.  Check out the MagnetHead website for upcoming shows and information.   For the time being, all of my musically energy will be going toward MagnetHead.  But I will still work on the site and new music when I have time. 04Jul03 - As you can see, it's been a little while since I felt like posting anything.  Most of it has been personal bullshit related....one word...women.  That should explain it all.  But now the dark period  has subsided. Shit is getting back on track. The instrumental part of 'Machines' has actually been posted since the end of April.  You can check it out on the downloads page.  For lack of having a better name, I named it 'Machine' and the the other part of the song will still be called 'Machines'. I am going to try to get 'Machines' done before the end of July.  I only have the vocals, bass, lead guitar and some keys.  Not really that much work if I set my mind to it.    02Mar03 - It only took 6 years, but I have reached 10,000 downloads/song plays from mp3.com.  It's cool to think at least a few thousand people have at least taken the time to listen to what I have done. 'Machines' is still coming along well.  To make things easier with mixing and working with the song, I have split it up so that the intro instrumental and the main song are 2 different songs.  Since it will be easier, I will finish recording the intro part and get that posted and then finish the other half of the song and put them together in another mix.  There is a possibility I may not even put them together and just leave them separate. 23Feb03 - 'Machines' is coming along well.  I have finished recording all of the acoustic and rhythm guitars and I am almost done recording the other little guitar parts which should be soon.  My plan is to finish the entire song with the original instrumental intro so it is available for download and then make another version of the song without the intro.  I will probably do an acoustic intro.  09Feb03 - Not too much has been really going on in the musical realm.  I finally found out I wasn't selected for the International Heavy Metal Box Set from Meathead records. No biggie. Wish I could find out the criteria for selection just to see what I was judged on. Probably personal taste of the selectors, but since it's their record company, they can do what they want (thanks Mr. Obvious).  I have actually finished the drum pattern for 'Machines'.  An Aittala classic from 89.  I think I will be recording the entire song, including the original instrumental intro. I think what I will end up doing is having 2 versions of the song.  One will be with the original intro and one that will either just start after the end of the instrumental intro or I may come up with an acoustic intro.  Still haven't decided exactly how I'll handle it how I will start the second version.  I'll work on it after the first version is recorded. 07Jan03 - 'Haunt Your Flesh' is now available for your listening pleasure.  Go check it out on the downloads page.  I think it turned out rather well. Got another UV777 Ibanez 7-string.  It plays like a charm; my new favorite.  Check it out here and here. It's hard to believe I have owned the other 2 7-strings over 10 years already.  I must be getting old.
