This week I started doing some preliminary mixes on 'Myself Deceived'.  As I was mixing, I found a couple small things I needed to tweak and I fixed them.  I now think all the tweaking on the song is finished and I should be able to concentrate on the final mixes and getting posted.
     I jammed with Roy, the 7-string guitarist from Outliar.  He is definitely an old-school death metal guitarist.  Besides jamming, he gave me a couple songs from Outliar, and while they aren't  death metal, they are definitely heavy.  I have been practicing the vocal parts and, if they like how I sing them, I will sing on their demo.  There is the possibility I could do more work with them, but I will have to see how it goes after I meet the rest of the guys.  Roy and I will definitely jamming together in the future even if nothing comes of me and his band.  It is very cool jamming with a fellow 7-stringer.
     I haven't done anything with Monika this last week.  She has been rehearsing with her band for their upcoming gigs.  They are playing on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of this week.  I look forward to seeing them play this weekend.  You can learn more about her band here.
